Game Description
The Messiah story is a classic battle between good and evil. God has sent you, in the form of an angel, to rescue the world from Satan. The only thing is, you’re this little chubby guy, with no weapons and no armor – you’re basically a baby, which makes for some interesting gameplay. Because you’re so weak, you have to use others to do your work for you, which you do by possessing their bodies and then running amok! Any abilities that they have, and any weapons that they have, you therefore have, so it makes sense to go for the biggest guy you can find if you know you’re about to walk into World War 3 in the next room. It’s one of the most unique facets of Messiah that you’re not confined to one character, as you would be in , say, Tomb Raider. This allows for endless replay possibilities and what’s certain to be the most exciting deathmatch game ever. In Quake, it’s the guy with the best weapon that generally wins the multi-player games - whoever gets the rocket launcher first. With Messiah, you’re looking for people –they are your weapons, and you can see, just by looking at them, what kind of a weapon they are, which builds fear into the equation. It gives Messiah a psychological perspective that I haven’t seen in other multiplayer games.
